HL Architecture is an innovative design studio based in the Turks and Caicos Islands, dedicated to creating spaces that prioritize the human experience. With over 35 years of collective experience, our practice is rooted in the belief that design should be expressive, timeless, and in harmony with the natural beauty of its environment.

We believe that creativity should be nurtured throughout the entire design process. By working at an intimate scale, we focus on the intricacies of every project, ensuring that our clients' personalities and visions are reflected in the final result. Our approach is grounded in rigorous craftsmanship and detail-oriented planning, with a strong commitment to economic mindfulness and functional design.

Central to our philosophy is the belief that architecture is a collaborative journey. We place immense value on listening to our clients, learning from their desires, and engaging deeply with the site’s unique natural features and existing structures. This thorough exploration drives our design process, allowing us to build projects that not only exceed expectations but also create lasting value for our clients, builders, and community.

We are writing to share an update regarding the leadership at HL Architecture. As of September 18, 2026, Syed and Elry Lightbourne have mutually decided to conclude their professional partnership.

Elry has been a vital part of the HL Architecture team, and we are grateful for the dedication and expertise he has contributed to our studio’s growth. We wish him the very best in all his future endeavors.

As we move forward, HL Architecture remains fully committed to maintaining the high standards of design and personalized service that you have come to expect. We are excited to continue our work, focusing on the thoughtful, detail-oriented architecture that defines our practice. We look forward to continuing our existing projects and welcoming new collaborations.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
